The Hobbit has been out for four whole days now, I am seeing waves of posts from people talking about walking out of the cinema wanting Thorin/Bilbo slash, so where is it?

I really want to see it again now. I may go Wednesday night. And I still want to see Skyfall again whilst it's in the cinemas.

I was ridiculously productive this morning. I was up and out of the house by half seven - I'd been to the post office sorting office, two supermarkets, Boots and Dunelm Mill by half nine, and since I was in town I decided I might as well go to the first showing of Skyfall.

Just looked up from Bond being badass to see the Red Arrows flying past my windows, quite slowly and very low, in two V-formations, looking very pink from the setting sun.

Huh. Random.

I am watching Casino Royale and getting all giddy, because dude, I had forgotten how fucking awesome this movie is. I remember walking out of the cinema just utterly blown away and thinking 'that's what Bond should have been all these years.'

Shame Quantum of Solace was such a disappointment though. Still, I live in hope that Daniel Craig's third ( Read more... )

Just got back from seeing the new Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. It's a bit of a disappointment, but I think that was always going to be the case, since Casino Royale was such a triumph. QoS is definitely more fast-paced, one incredible action scene after another, but it's all a little incoherent. A few scenes I loved - the Tosca one is probably ( Read more... )

I cannot wait for this film. Seriously. The last one was so amazing. I remember walking out of the cinema with my friend and saying 'that's what Bond should have been all these years'. I loved it. And this one looks just as good! Eeeeeee!
